Abstract: We analyze certain limits associated to the Schrödinger equation, classical wave equation, and Maxwell equations as a consequence of the competition scales (space, time and action) associated to such systems. In this context, the Eikonal and Antieikonal approximations arise in a natural way, and they could be related to nonlocal systems.
